On October 3, 2025, Deluzio criticized House Republicans for not returning to Washington amid a government shutdown, stating: “Translation: House Republicans aren’t coming back to Washington to do their jobs. Get back to work. Reopen the government.”
Later that day, he highlighted National Manufacturing Day and praised workers in his district: “Today is National Manufacturing Day. Thousands of people work solid manufacturing jobs in PA’s 17th Congressional District. Chris Deluzio has served as the representative for Pennsylvania’s 17th District since 2023 after succeeding Conor Lamb. Born in Pittsburgh in 1984, Deluzio currently resides in Aspinwall and has focused much of his congressional work on local industry and national policy issues.
