Congressman Chris Deluzio, who represents Pennsylvania’s 17th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets criticizing economic policies associated with former President Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans.

A day later, on August 17, he commented on federal actions related to competition policy: “Intense competition in our economy is deeply American. We need more of it to lower costs & give small businesses a fighting chance.

On August 18, Deluzio addressed rising consumer prices: “Ground beef prices are at a record high. Over the past three months, costs have increased 14% for toys, 17% for appliances, and 20% for furniture, compared to the same time last year.

Chris Deluzio has represented Pennsylvania’s 17th District since succeeding Conor Lamb in 2023. Born in Pittsburgh in 1984 and currently residing in Aspinwall, Deluzio has focused his recent public statements on economic inequality and rising costs facing Americans.
