On October 2, 2025, Deluzio addressed a proposal by former President Donald Trump regarding military deployment within the United States. He stated, “I served in uniform in a war zone. Trump’s plan to deploy our military to use U.S. cities as ‘training grounds’ is un-American and dangerous. I’m joining with my fellow Democratic veterans to push back.”
The following day, Deluzio provided an update on his engagement with local labor organizations and the potential consequences of federal government actions for workers in his district. On October 3, he posted, “I joined last night’s @AlleghenyLabor meeting to give an update on the foolish Republican government shutdown and to hear about the very real impacts this could have on our region’s workers and economy.”
Later that same day, Deluzio commented more broadly on political developments at the federal level with another post: “More swampy nonsense at the People’s expense.”
Chris Deluzio has represented Pennsylvania’s 17th District since 2023 after succeeding Conor Lamb. He was born in Pittsburgh in 1984 and currently resides in Aspinwall.
