On the same day, Deluzio highlighted the importance of implementing smart tariffs and effective trade policies to benefit Western Pennsylvanians. In his tweet, he stated that such measures are crucial for creating good-paying jobs and reviving America’s manufacturing sector. Further addressing tariff strategies, Deluzio criticized former President Trump’s approach. In another tweet from March 7, 2025, he argued that Trump’s inconsistent tariff threats lacked a coherent industrial strategy and would not lead to rebuilding manufacturing or improving wages. Deluzio labeled this approach as detrimental to American business interests.
