Chris Deluzio, who represents Pennsylvania’s 17th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently shared updates through social media about various issues affecting his constituents and beyond. Deluzio, having succeeded Conor Lamb in 2023, has demonstrated active engagement on topics ranging from infrastructure to corporate practices.

On May 3, Deluzio acknowledged the ongoing efforts of utility workers addressing recent storm damages. He praised the intense efforts of linemen and personnel from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA), noting they worked overtime to restore power. “Let’s give lots of love to the crews still working hard to restore power after this week’s big storms. Our @IBEW and @The_UWUA linemen and other personnel are working overtime to get the job done.”

Later that day, Deluzio expressed satisfaction with a legal victory impacting Apple’s market dynamics. This decision was described as a pushback against Apple’s app store model, which he criticized for stifling competition and misleading consumers. Deluzio remarked on the ruling’s potential to revive competitive practices in the tech sector. “This ruling is a big win against anti-competitive corporate power in tech. Apple’s App Store scheme has been crushing competition and ripping off consumers. And to top it all off—they lied about it under oath.”

On May 4, Deluzio reported a positive update concerning local emergency medical services funding. He noted the administration’s recent decision to allocate necessary funds to Ross/West View EMS, emphasizing the importance of supporting organizations dedicated to public safety. “I’m glad to report some good news since this story first aired a few weeks ago! The Administration finally did the right thing and released this funding to @RossWestViewEMS. We’ve got to stand with the folks who keep us safe.”

Born in Pittsburgh and residing in Aspinwall, Deluzio continues to advocate for his district and address varied legislative concerns since beginning his term in 2023.
