Chris Deluzio, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 17th district, has recently shared his views on social programs, worker remembrance, and weather precautions via a series of tweets. Deluzio, who succeeded Conor Lamb in 2023, continues to express his commitment to various issues affecting his constituents.
On April 26, Deluzio emphasized his dedication to protecting Social Security from changes by the current administration. He stated, “We are fighting against this Administration when it tries to find new and cruel ways to make it harder for seniors to get their earned benefits. I won’t stop demanding answers and standing up for Social Security.“
On April 28, Deluzio recognized Workers’ Memorial Day, using the opportunity to honor workers who have lost their lives or been injured in their jobs. He tweeted, “Today is Workers’ Memorial Day, a solemn time to honor workers who’ve been killed or hurt on the job. Today we remember the dead, and commit to fight for the living.“
Later that day, Deluzio issued a public safety message regarding potential severe weather expected in the area. He advised residents via Twitter, “We’re expecting some severe weather tomorrow, folks. Please get ready, keep an eye out for updates, and stay safe!“
Chris Deluzio is serving his constituency from Aspinwall, where he resides. Born in Pittsburgh in 1984, the 38-year-old Congressman continues to be a vocal advocate for Social Security and the safety of workers.
