Congressman Chris Deluzio, who has been representing Pennsylvania’s 17th district since succeeding Conor Lamb in 2023, recently shared his perspectives and initiatives through his social media accounts. Deluzio, born in Pittsburgh in 1984 and currently residing in Aspinwall, addressed local and national issues pertaining to his constituents.
On May 1, 2025, Congressman Deluzio expressed gratitude towards Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro for the state’s support in disaster recovery efforts. He stated, “Thanks to @GovernorShapiro for always showing up for Western PA and making sure we have the Commonwealth’s support in recovery from the storm damage.”
Later that day, Deluzio emphasized the need for workplace safety, particularly for state and local government workers. He noted that “Every American should expect to work in safe conditions and come home to their families at the end of the day. Still, too many state and local government workers aren’t covered by safety protections on the job.”
Following this, Deluzio announced his collaboration with Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick on proposed legislation. He stated, “I’m proud to join @RepBrianFitz in introducing the Public Service Worker Protection Act. It would expand federal workplace safety protections to all public sector workers. More (2/2)” This initiative aims to extend federal workplace safety standards to encompass all public-sector personnel.
Chris Deluzio continues to address both local and national concerns—illustrated by his proactive involvement in initiatives like the Public Service Worker Protection Act—while remaining attentive to the needs of his district.
