Congressman Chris Deluzio, representing Pennsylvania’s 17th district since 2023, has been active in addressing local concerns and articulating his viewpoints on various issues. Deluzio, born in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is focused on serving his constituents from his base in Aspinwall.
On April 19, 2025, Congressman Deluzio expressed his concern regarding the digital currency DOGE’s impact on governmental affairs. “I’ve gotten a lot of calls & emails from constituents worried about how DOGE is plundering our government—and I am too. Recently, we’ve learned DOGE has some of Western PA’s most beloved cultural institutions in its sights. Ridiculous! I’m fighting back.”
Two days later, on April 21, Deluzio shared his condolences on the passing of a revered religious leader. “I join so many in Western PA and around the world in mourning the passing of Pope Francis. He was a source of pride for me and so many fellow Catholics and spoke with moral clarity that has become all too rare.”
Later that day, Deluzio announced his welcoming of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro to his district, recognizing the importance of leadership in public safety. Deluzio emphasized his fight against budget reductions impacting safety initiatives. “I’m proud to welcome @GovernorShapiro to our district and support his work to make our communities safer & invest in first responders. As I fight down in Washington against reckless cuts to public safety programs, we need his strong leadership on public safety in Harrisburg more.”
Chris Deluzio has served in the U.S. Congress, representing Pennsylvania’s 17th District, since 2023.
