FOIA Request to Beaver County Election Department Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.

In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Beaver County News have sent a request under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., to the Beaver County Election Department.

Our request is for a list of all candidates running in the upcoming election. We have asked for this information preferably in an electronic format for ease of use and dissemination. The specifics we’ve requested include the candidate’s first, middle, and last names; the office they are running for; the jurisdiction of that office; and their party affiliation.

Furthermore, we’ve also requested contact information for each candidate. This includes their address, phone number, and email address. As always, our goal is to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public.

As a media organization dedicated to serving our community with accurate information about local government affairs, we believe it is crucial that this information be made available not only to us but also to the general public. We are committed to disseminating this information responsibly and accurately once received.

We are hopeful that our request will be granted promptly as it falls within our rights under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law. We continue in our mission of providing transparency and holding public institutions accountable in Beaver County.
