House GOP committee to discuss Pennsylvania’s manufacturing workforce challenges

The House Republican Policy Committee is set to hold a hearing titled “Manufacturing Momentum: Assembling PA’s Workforce” on Friday, September 27. The session will address workforce challenges faced by manufacturers in Pennsylvania and explore potential solutions.

The hearing will be led by House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail from Beaver/Washington, alongside Representative Ann Flood of Northampton and other lawmakers. Testifiers include Michael Druckenmiller, vice president of Lehigh Heavy Forge; Blair Woodring, director of business development at Precision Custom Components; Nancy Dischinat, executive director of the Workforce Board Lehigh Valley; and John Rhatigan, chairman of the Marine Machinery Association.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation located at 275 Emery St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. It will also be available for live streaming on PAGOPPolicy.com, provided there are no technical issues.
