House GOP hosts hearing on preserving benefit integrity

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), Rep. Joe Hamm (R-Lycoming/Sullivan), and other lawmakers will host the first in a series of hearings titled “Excellence in Government: Preserving Benefit Integrity.” The hearing aims to discuss measures to protect Pennsylvania’s social benefit programs from fraud, waste, and abuse, ensuring that state resources are efficiently allocated and accessible to those who genuinely need assistance.

The event will feature Kail, Hamm, members of the committee, and various testifiers. It is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, at 2 p.m., at the Old Lycoming Township Volunteer Fire Company located at 1600 Dewey Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
