House GOP Policy Committee Hosts Hearing on Consumer-Focused Energy Policy

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) announced that a hearing titled “Balancing Your Budget and Thermostat: Consumer-Focused Energy Policy” will be held to discuss ways to protect consumers by controlling the costs of energy in Pennsylvania. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at the Salem Township Municipal Building in Berwick, PA.

Alongside Kail, Rep. Mike Cabell (R-Luzerne) and other lawmakers, as well as members of the committee, will be present. Testifiers at the hearing will include Mike Butler, mid-Atlantic executive director of the Consumer Energy Alliance, and other industry and consumer representatives.

In light of the current technological landscape, the hearing will be livestreamed on PAGOPPolicy.com. Media contact Nancy Nilson emphasized that the livestream will be available “Barring any technical difficulties.”

The event aims to delve into strategies and policies that can ensure a consumer-focused approach to energy, with a specific focus on managing expenses for residents of Pennsylvania.
