House GOP policy committee to hold education-focused hearing in Bucks County

The House Republican Policy Committee, led by Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) and Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks), will host the final hearing in a series titled “Back to School.” The session aims to examine the efforts and strategies employed by the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) and Council Rock School District to deliver high-quality education while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Participants in the hearing include Kail, Marcell, members of the committee, and several testifiers. Among those providing testimony are Dr. Andrew J. Sanko, superintendent of Council Rock School District; Dr. Mark Covelle, director of MBIT; Thomas McCullough, a graduate of MBIT and local business owner; Carla Zoptek, executive vice president of the Home Builders Association of Bucks and Montgomery Counties; and others.

The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m., at the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology located at 2740 York Road, Jamison, PA 18929. Barring any technical difficulties, it will be streamed online at PAGOPPolicy.com.
