House GOP Policy Committee to hold hearing on Centennial School program

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton), and other lawmakers will host the first hearing in a series titled “Back to School” to highlight The Centennial School’s unique program for students with emotional disturbance and autism. The school, affiliated with Lehigh University College of Education, prepares high-quality special education teachers to enter the workforce in Pennsylvania.

Kail, Mackenzie, members of the committee, Joseph Helble, president of Lehigh University, and testifiers Robin Hojnoski, dean of Lehigh University College of Education; Julie Fogt, director of Centennial School; Heather Caricari, lead teacher at Centennial School; and parents will be present.

The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. It will take place at The Centennial School located at 2196 Avenue C, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
