PIZZAFEST – A SLICE OF DELISH! SERVES UP THE WORKS FROM PITTSBURGH’S MOST POPULAR PIZZA ARTISANS Popular Event Will Be Virtual-Plus This Summer Pizza lovers: Rejoice! PizzaFest – A Slice Of Delish! is going virtual-plus this summer. The event, which welcomed a sell-out crowd last year, is scheduled for 6 pm on Sunday, June 14. A celebration of everything pizza, PizzaFest will feature four of Pittsburgh’s best artisans serving up demos, tips and recipes straight from their professional kitchens. The “plus” factor is especially tasty: Event participants can pick up their own pizza-making kits beforehand and share the experience from their own homes. A fresh take on food festivals, the event will also feature amazing culinary performances, a flair bartending show, pizza acrobatics and lots of fun. Pittsburgh foodie Jessica Iacullo, author of the popular Pittsburgh blog “Hungry Girl, Big City,” will host. Also featured will be bartenders from Liquid Flair Entertainment -- who will build a signature PizzaFest! cocktail with fun flips, shakes and pours -- and award-winning pizza acrobat Matt Hickey who will share his secrets of stretching and twirling dough. The $25 ticket includes one virtual entry, a pizza-making kit that serves two and easy instructions to log into the Zoom-based experience. View-only (no pizza-making kit) tickets are available for $10. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the initiatives of 412 Food Rescue.
