Geneva College issued the following announcement.

The Rev. Helen M. Jackson ’10, MSOL ’13, has accepted the position of Executive Director at Geneva College Pittsburgh Campus at the Center for Urban Biblical Ministry (CUBM), and she will continue in her role as primary recruiter.

The Rev. Jackson has recruited students for CUBM since 2014 after serving the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County for 32 years. While at CUBM, she has taught in the Leadership and Bible departments, and received the Executive Director’s Award of Distinction and the Biblical Studies Award. She was a board member of several associations, including the Heritage Chorale of Pittsburgh and serves as its Chaplain.

With her husband, the Rev. Andrew Jackson, she founded Abundant Mercy Ministries, a community outreach, evangelistic ministry in 2002. The Jacksons continue to serve at Webster Avenue Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Pittsburgh. Their book, “The Modern Couple,” is used in their current ministry, The Marriage Works.

The new Executive Director takes over for the long-serving and distinguished Mrs. Karla T. Byrd, who retired in January of this year after nearly 17 years at the helm.
