Riverside High School recently issued the following announcement.
Dear RHS Students:
We hope your summer has gone well! A copy of the driving regulations for the upcoming school year and the parking permit application are posted to the website. This application must be filled in completely at the time you purchase your permit. If all information is not completed, you will NOT be issued a parking spot. Please read all material carefully. The following procedures should be noted:
The parking fee for the year is $25.00. All students who receive a parking permit will be assigned a permanent parking space for the school year and permits will be sold in a predetermined order – no exceptions.
Parking permits will be assigned to students who have a valid driver’s license only. Permits will not be given to students who only have driving permits. In addition, students must have their driver’s license with them in order to purchase their permit and must have their license plate number(s) written on the form in the space provided. Parking spaces are limited and will be distributed per the schedule listed below.
*** The school reserves the right to deny or revoke a permit based on tardiness & attendance. Registration times for parking permits will be as follows:
Seniors Tuesday, August 3, 2021 – 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Wednesday, August 4, 2021– 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Juniors Thursday, August 5, 2021 – 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Tuesday, August 10, 2021 – 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Sophomores Wednesday, August 11, 2021 – 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Thursday, August 12, 2021 – 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Please note that daily temporary parking permits are available if needed. Students must park in the back row of the upper gravel lot, using the parking spaces nearest to Country Club Drive when issued a temporary permit. These permits are to be used on an emergency basis only and should be requested at least one day before needed if possible.
All students must have a parking permit to park in the student parking lot. If you are unable to register on the above dates, please contact the high school main office for further assistance. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated by the building administration – parking permits will not be issued prior to the dates listed above. We hope you enjoy the last days of your summer vacation and look forward to seeing you when school begins.
