Congressman Chris Deluzio, representing Pennsylvania's 17th district since 2023, has recently expressed his concerns and opinions on various issues through a series of tweets. Deluzio, who succeeded Conor Lamb in Congress, is known for his advocacy on defense spending oversight and accountability.

On December 11, 2024, Congressman Deluzio addressed changes to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), stating that "In a previous version of the NDAA, I successfully pushed for provisions to fight price gouging and strengthen oversight over the defense contracting process. But the D.C. swamp did its work, stripping out my parts that would've saved public $$ and required more accountability."

Continuing his focus on fiscal responsibility within defense spending, Deluzio emphasized the need for increased scrutiny of Pentagon expenditures. On December 11, he shared his rationale for opposing certain measures by tweeting: "We need more oversight of how the Pentagon is spending our public dollars. In a lighter exchange on December 12, Congressman Deluzio engaged with fellow Representative Pat Ryan regarding an upcoming sports event between military academies. He tweeted: "Hey @RepPatRyanNY, I can’t wait to watch the @NavalAcademy Midshipmen take it to your @WestPoint_USMA Cadets on Saturday. I'll bet you a selection of Western PA's finest brews on a Navy win. What ya got? #BeatArmy!"
