Senator Elder Vogel Jr. has announced the approval of three state grants aimed at enhancing agricultural innovation in Beaver County. These Agriculture Innovation Grants are being provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Vogel emphasized the importance of these grants, stating, "It was very important to fund these grants in the state budget because Pennsylvania farmers must have access to innovation to compete." He further added, "By helping our farmers implement the latest technology we can ensure they remain the best in the world."

The purpose of Agricultural Innovation Grants is to assist farmers and agriculture businesses in adopting new technologies related to agriculture, conservation, and renewable energy. These innovations are intended to help expand their potential for profit generation, improve soil and water resources, and enable on-farm energy production.

Pennsylvania's agriculture sector comprises over 53,000 farms that support more than 600,000 jobs and contribute $132 billion to the state's economy.
