House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington), Rep. Brian Smith (R-Jefferson/Indiana), and other lawmakers will host the second in a series of hearings titled “Excellence in Government: Preserving Benefit Integrity” to discuss measures to protect Pennsylvania’s social benefit programs from fraud, waste, and abuse. The objective is to ensure that the state’s resources are efficiently allocated and accessible to those genuinely in need.

The hearing will feature testimonies from Sam Adolphsen, policy director at the Foundation for Government Accountability, and Roy Lenardson, state government affairs director at the same organization.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, at 10 a.m., and will take place at Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Campus in Room 223, located at 1012 Winslow St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Barring any technical difficulties, the hearing will be streamed online at PAGOPPolicy.com.
