House GOP committee to hold hearing on coal's economic benefits

The House Republican Policy Committee is set to hold a hearing in Greene County to discuss the economic benefits of coal. The event, titled “Positive Impacts of Coal,” will be hosted by Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail (R-Beaver/Washington) and Rep. Bud Cook (R-Greene/Washington), along with other lawmakers.

Participants include Rachel Gleason, executive director of the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance; Jim Barker, president of Rosebud Mining Company; Matt Mackowiak, manager of government affairs at CONSOL Energy; and Tom Crooks, vice president of R.G. Johnson, Inc.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, at 11 a.m., and will be available for livestreaming on PAGOPPolicy.com, subject to technical availability.
