Senator Elder Vogel, Jr. has been sworn in for his fifth term with the Pennsylvania State Senate. Representing the 47th Senatorial District, which includes Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties, Vogel aims to prioritize jobs, fiscal responsibility, and agricultural advancements during this session.

Vogel intends to modernize Pennsylvania's Over Order Premium to enhance its effectiveness and fairness within the dairy industry. He also plans to develop policies that wisely use taxpayer dollars while increasing family-sustaining jobs.

“With the start of any new legislative session comes the time for fresh ideas and developing new paths forward to make our commonwealth better for current and future generations,” said Vogel. “I am excited to help advance not only our priorities, which have always included creating and maintaining family sustaining jobs and ensuring Pennsylvanians keep more of their dollars in their pockets, but other important agricultural priorities as well.”

In the previous legislative session of 2023-24, Vogel sponsored key laws that expanded access to telemedicine (Act 42 of 2024) and sexual assault nurse practitioners (SANEs) (Act 59 of 2024) across Pennsylvania. Additionally, he co-sponsored legislation providing a tax exemption for residents receiving payments due to the East Palestine train derailment through the Tax Reform Code in the 2024-25 state budget.
