Congressman Chris Deluzio, representing Pennsylvania’s 17th district since 2023, has been vocal about several key issues through his recent social media activity. Born in Pittsburgh in 1984 and currently residing in Aspinwall, Deluzio has made headlines with his critical stance on legislative decisions affecting public funding and veteran affairs.
On March 15, Congressman Deluzio expressed his disapproval of a Republican spending bill that passed the Senate. He stated, "On Tuesday I voted against the bad Republican spending bill that today cleared the Senate. This bill defunds our cops, takes away promised money for my fellow toxic-exposed veterans, cuts NIH funding, and so much more. This is a bad deal for the American people."
The following day, March 16, Deluzio criticized planned reductions in VA staffing levels. He remarked on social media: "Every veteran who served wrote this country a blank check. In return, we make a sacred promise that our government will take care of them when they come home. The VA Secretary is saying the planned firing of 80,000 VA workers won’t hurt veteran care—he's full of crap."
On March 17, Deluzio shared an update regarding collaboration efforts with state Senator Nick Pisciottano. He tweeted: "Always good to see my friend, @SenPisciottano! Thanks for stopping by my Carnegie office to talk about how we can continue working together to take on corporate power and deliver federal funding to support Western PA."
