On March 19, 2025, Congressman Deluzio tweeted his stance against unfavorable trade agreements that he believes harm American workers and industries. He emphasized the need for Democrats to go beyond merely criticizing former President Trump's trade strategies. "No more lousy trade deals, no more stripping Rust Belt communities for parts, and no more undercutting American workers and industries."

In a follow-up tweet posted shortly after, Deluzio advocated for bolstering American manufacturing through strategic measures such as tariffs and industrial policies. He called for stronger enforcement mechanisms and improved trade agreements to support domestic industries. "Let’s supercharge American manufacturing with strategic tariffs, industrial and pro-worker policies, tougher enforcement, and better trade deals."

The following day, March 20, 2025, Deluzio expressed his belief in finding common ground while maintaining firm stances when necessary. He underscored the importance of having a resolute approach when engaging with the current administration on behalf of constituents. "I'm a guy who believes that we should find common ground where we can. But you stand your ground when it’s time to fight for our people."
