Beaver borough recently issued the following announcement.
Beaver Borough has been notified by the United States Department of Agricultural (USDA) that vaccine bait will be distributed between July 29th – August 31st to prevent the further spread of raccoon variant rabies.
Vehicle vaccine distribution: July 29 – August 10
Fixed wing vaccine distribution: August 19 – August 31
Helicopter vaccine distribution: August 1 – August 17
The public is asked to keep dogs confined to their properties or on leaches during the week of rabies hand baiting and the week after.
