Waste Management has been awarded the exclusive contract to provide solid waste collection & disposal services for the City of Aliquippa beginning January 1, 2022. Service under this contract is mandatory for all residents of single-family dwellings, duplexes, triplexes, trailers, mobile homes and apartment buildings with 3 units or less. Refuse rates were increased $5.00 per quarter per Resolution 11 of 2022.

THERE IS NO EXONERATION FOR FAILURE TO RECEIVE A BILL. It is YOUR responsibility as the owner of a property to get the bill to your tenants and/or to notify the City Office of any vacancy, and to provide proof of vacancy to the City.
Instructions to receive a 10% Discount on your Yearly refuse bill for paying the bill in full for the year by January 31st, 2023
Our Aliquippa residents have the option to pay their refuse bills in full for the entire year in order to receive a 10% discount. This payment MUST be received in the MWAA office NO LATER than January 31st, or it will NOT be accepted as a discounted yearly payment.
REFUSE FEE RATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
The Regular Resident rate (Under the age of 65) is $240.00 per year/$60.00 per quarter
The Discounted Regular early payment rate for the year is $216.00 if paid by January 31st, NO EXCEPTIONS
The Senior Citizen (65 years or older) rate is $220.00 per year/$55.00 per quarter
The Discounted Senior Citizen early payment rate for the year is $198.00 if paid by January 31st, NO EXCEPTIONS
If you have a balance from the previous year on your bill, the Discount WILL NOT apply.
When paying the bill in person, please bring the entire bill with you! Make checks payable to: MWAA.
Payments using credit/debit card are accepted. A convenience fee of $4.00 will be charged.

You can purchase a red recycling bin at the City Building for a fee of $14.00 (check or money order)
If a holiday falls on a weekday, refuse pick up will be one day later than your regular day. If a holiday falls on a weekend, your service will not be affected. Waste Management observes the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
