Senator Elder Vogel Jr. announced that over $11 million in state grants have been allocated for 21 improvement projects across Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties. The funding aims to enhance infrastructure in these areas.
“Investments in our roads, schools, sewers, and wastewater treatment centers is crucial when it comes to maintaining the safety and well-being of our communities,” said Vogel. “I am pleased to see so many of these critical projects receiving this much needed funding to accomplish this goal.”
The grants are sourced from the Local Share Account Program, which utilizes gaming revenues for funding. Projects in Beaver County school districts will also receive support through the Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program.
The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved the funding. This agency operates independently under the Department of Community and Economic Development and oversees various economic development initiatives within Pennsylvania.
