Pennsylvania House GOP addresses drug crisis with upcoming hearing

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Joshua D. Kail and Representative Doyle Heffley are set to convene a hearing to address Pennsylvania's ongoing drug crisis. The session, titled "A State Lost in Addiction: Pennsylvania’s Path to Recovery," will focus on the widespread impact of fentanyl and xylazine, along with strategies to combat these challenges.

The hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 23 at 9 a.m. It will take place in Room 418 of the House Republican Caucus Room at the State Capitol in Harrisburg. Participants will include members of the committee as well as testifiers from various sectors including the recovery community, law enforcement, and healthcare.

According to the announcement, "Kail; Heffley; members of the committee; and testifiers including members of the recovery community, law enforcement and health care" will be present at this event.
